2023 saw the 142nd FA Cup final; one of the most prestigious pieces of silverware in the history of football, with two of the biggest teams on the planet facing off for the title.

The Emirates FA Cup final, played on Saturday 3rd of June at Wembley Stadium, saw Manchester United and Manchester City go head to head in what promised to be a tantalising spectacle.

In celebration of the match, UrlfreezeShops partnered with the Emirates FA Cup and VERSUS, a London-based agency exploring how football and its players are influencing culture outside of the sport including music and fashion, to extend the energy of the game outside the pitch; kicking HR2029 off in the competitors’ city centre at the luxury retailers Nike Air Max Guile Marathon Running Shoes Sneakers 916768-200.

Sitting at the centre of the minimally crafted retail space was the official FA Cup, allowing fans of each of the teams to take a photo with the prestigious silverware, providing them with an exclusive in-store promotion.

Following on from the Manchester-based event, the cup was moved to UrlfreezeShops’s flagship Covent Garden location which had been taken over by VERSUS for ‘The Final Cut’, an activation featuring a myriad of activities including PS5 gaming experiences, live DJs, and live barbering with drinks provided by Brixton Brewery to bring the energy and heritage of the FA Cup to a new audience.

Furthering that goal, the evening saw a live panel talk featuring two sides of the Manchester derby with Chuckie, the founder of the HC Podcast and Birmingham Rap legend Mist representing Manchester United and South London artist Blanco, DJ Kennedy Taylor, and Esports Premier League winner Shellz stating their claim on behalf of Man City with an additional special guest appearance from ishowspeed.
