The Nike Air Max Mercurial R9 'Black Silver' Next Nature Photon Dust Obsidian is the latest attempt by Nike to continue to bring sustainability into the mainstream by championing recycled materials in its design to make the industry as a whole more eco-friendly for generations to come. This particular model sports a greyscale colourway that combines a two-tone colour blocking composed of a white tumbled leather underlay and off-white almost grey nubuck overlays. Providing a pop of colour obsidian accents embellish the woven labels on the tongue and heel as well as the trademark Nike Swoosh, while other finer details come by way of the pinwheel logo that adorns the sock liner, an emblem that has been around since the 1970s but is now commonly used to indicate Next Nature products. Underfoot, a sail midsole completes the look with a colour-coordinated obsidian Nike grind rubber outsole to boot.
