New Balance Classics 720 sneakers | New Balance Zapatillas Running Fresh Foam More V3 Serves Up Springy Ride

From long runs to speedwork, the New Balance Zapatillas Running Fresh Foam More V3 can do it all. Built on a thick platform of plush yet bouncy FuelCell midsole foam, this shoe offers an energetic ride that remains comfortable over long distances. New Balance’s FuelCell foam is the same midsole foam used in their speedy carbon-plated racing shoe, the womens new balance 574 marbleheadmystic purple marbleheadmystic purple.

“I felt amazing on every run and walk in these shoes. I felt fast and speedy, almost as if I was flying throughout my run. I was amazed at how m1500 it felt to go fast, even in 90 degree Summit,” Mandy says.

An ultra high stack height (47 millimeters in the heel and 39 millimeters in the forefoot) helps absorb impact while you run, Hombre your legs and feet feeling fresh.

“I didn’t even feel like I was running, I felt like I was gliding. The thick slab of FuelCell foam is so springy and bouncy it makes each stride feel effortless. I love how soft yet responsive the cushioning is, too. It can be tough to blend those two elements into one shoe but New Balance does it perfectly here,” Caroline says.

In addition to a highly cushioned midsole, New Balance utilizes a carbon-fiber plate and their proprietary Energy Arc technology in the FuelCell SuperComp trainer. Energy Arc technology uses a hollow channel in the middle of the midsole to increase energy return. The carbon-fiber plate is flattened into the channel during landings and rebounds during take-offs. Reviewers appreciated the propulsive sensation.

I love the sense of lightness, bounce and energy return that I get on the run with the SuperComp Trainer. One thing I noticed is that I feel just as much energy return when I heel strike in this shoe. Many carbon-plated racers feel most responsive when you run fast and land more on your forefoot. But if you’re looking for a shoe that gives you that energy return benefit without having to run fast, the SuperComp Trainer is perfect,” Kate says.

Reviewers also noticed that, unlike other carbon-plated running shoes, the New Balance Zapatillas Running Fresh Foam More V3 felt comfortable while walking, too.

“I took these for a couple of walks with my dog and they felt cushioned and comfortable. These shoes are perfect for run/walks. This is the first carbon-plated shoe that has felt comfortable when I took a walk break,” Mandy says.

Smooth Knit Upper Locks Down Fit

The New Balance Zapatillas Running Fresh Foam More V3 is topped off with a breathable, flat knit upper that holds you in. A gusseted tongue and extra padding around the heel and ankle provide extra support, while small perforations in the mesh offer ventilation for hot runs.

Reviewers appreciated the thoughtful details in the upper.

“The SuperComp Trainer feels amazing from the moment I slip it onto my foot. It’s like a comfy bucket seat that holds me in without feeling restrictive. The tongue is sewn in place, but has plenty of stretch and softness, while the lacing part of the upper is separate so that you can adjust the fit,” Kate says.

“I love the stretchy and very breathable upper. It fits like a glove for my foot. It’s plenty locked down with enough room to accommodate my big instep,” Nate says.

The FuelCell SuperComp Trainer isn’t the only shoe in the new SuperComp lineup. New Balance also released the SuperComp Pacer, a lightweight, agile counterpart to the SuperComp Trainer.

While both shoes sport similar names and colorways, they have several key differences. The New Balance SuperComp Trainer offers more cushioning and support than the Pacer and, consequently, a heavier weight.

While the SuperComp Trainer is ideal for long runs, tempo efforts and spending lots of time on your feet, the SuperComp Pacer is more suitable for quick speed workouts and mid-distance races, from 5Ks to half marathons. Both shoes offer New Balance’s responsive FuelCell midsole foam, Energy Arc technology and carbon-fiber plate, but the SuperComp Pacer has a significantly lower stack height.

While the The New Balance M991 i is a true racing flat, the SuperComp Trainer offers enough cushioning and support to handle the bulk of your mileage.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re gearing up for your weekend long run or grinding out an interval workout, you can trust the New Balance Zapatillas Running Fresh Foam More V3 to carry you through. With soft yet responsive cushioning, a propulsive carbon-fiber plate and a smooth knit upper, the SuperComp trainer is built for both comfort and speed.

“Finally, a carbon-plated shoe that also works for us back-of-the-packers. I love how these shoes have the marshmallow softness combined with a springy responsiveness that propels me forward. During my 12 mile long run, I was never once thinking about my shoes and instead just complained about the Summit and humidity all run long,” Mandy says.
