Great gym shoe
I really like these for the gym I feel like I can easily move from lifting to plyometrics to running.
Good ground contact enough cushioning
I usually purchase slim shape but took a chance on the Solstice X 2 because I wanted a more flexible shoe with less cushioning. The fit is fine with slightly thicker socks. The tread gives just enough traction on moist surfaces but I probably wouldn't risk it on a slick surface. The lower stack height than most Altra shoes not only means less cushioning but it also seems to make the shoe more flexible. Purchased a second pair
Great but….
Great shoe except for the laces. The laces are difficult to keep tied especially when walking for longer distances.
The only ones
These solstice shoes are the only Altra that have enough space in the toe box. I tried two other Altra in addition too and had to return them be it the toe box was too small.They need to make more shoes like the solstice.
