Product Details
To many people, Spike Lee’s greatest film under his name may be “He Got Game” starring Denzel Washington and Ray Allen, but ”Do The Right Thing” was the movie that was direct inspiration for sneaker Air Jordan shoes. The “Do The Right Thing” color scheme consisting of blue, yellow, green, and red is one of the handful of iconic colorways sneakerheads can immediately recognize. This colorway was once used on the Jordan Retro III and still stands as one of the brightest and most vibrant designs used on a retro. Now, the “Do The Right Thing” color blocking makes its way on to the Son of Mars Low.
Since the Air Jordan Retro III was inspiration for the Son of Mars Low literiteness is no surprise that the upper’s color blocking nearly mirrors that of the III “Do The Right Thing”. This Son of Mars Low uses brisk blue for the nubuck upper and the elephant print panels. The yellow midsole also found on the original III “Do The Right Thing” is blue speckled. Grey makes up the heel tab and the midsole while green works the inner lining. Lastly, red is used on the lace lock section and the Jumpman on the tongue.
