Description: Nike Basketball had been dropping ‘Christmas Day’ editions of its signature series on December 26th for several years, including releases from none other than LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant. Dating back to his scoring champ-winning days in Oklahoma City, it’s the ‘Christmas’ Nike KD V, whose pixellated multicolor look was inspired by a glitch on Swoosh designer Erick Goto’s computer screen. The theme carried over into Leo Chang’s concept to render Durant as a video game character for a fresh colorway, with Kevin dunking on the insoles as he might have imagined himself through a session with Tecmo Super NBA Basketball.
