London-based streetwear label Maharishi (translating in Sanskrit to “great seer”) was founded by Hardy Blechman in 1994. Blechman's journeys across Southeast Asia, as well as his experience with military surplus clothing, has informed his unique design aesthetic and utilitarian-focused point of view. Maharishi is best known for its core values of pacifism, its ethically produced garments, and its rich study of camouflage. Dedicated to the use of natural fibers, including organic cotton and hemp, Maharishi employs the latest technology to create garments that are practical, functional and long-lasting.
