Bill Rodgers is a four-time winner of the Boston and New York City marathons, and is widely regarded as one of the great marathoners of all time. His 2:09:27 winning time in the 1979 Boston Marathon was an American Record at the time, and remains his PR.
Now a masters competitor, Bill continues to race and train at a high level. The owner of several masters records, he often places in his age group. Bill is a member of the National Track & Field Hall of Fame and the National Distance Running Hall of Fame.
Bill is the owner of Bill Rodgers Running Center (www.billrodgers.com) in Boston's Quincy Market, and continues to race frequently, often placing in his age group. He is the father of two daughters, Elise and Erika, and currently lives in Sherborn, MA.
