Runner’s World Review
For those looking for a low-to-the-ground trainer, the latest Magnifly boasts a smooth ride on a nearly level foot bed. Also worth noting was how much our testers told us the fit and comfort have improved in this update.
The original Magnifly offered a five-millimeter drop from the heel to the forefoot, but the latest model has pretty much eliminated the drop altogether. Our lab measured it at: 0.2mm (M), 1.6mm (W).
Wear-testers report the shoe is softer (which was corroborated by our lab tests) and the fit has been improved with a roomier toe box.

We put each shoe through real-world usage and a battery of mechanical tests in our lab to provide you with objective — and exclusive — data. In addition to a shoe's weight, we measure sole thickness (everything that sits between your foot and the road), how well the foam cushions your stride, and the flexibility of the forefoot. All this is taken into account in our reviews of each shoe.
