Runner’s World Review
The Guide ISO Moderate | 32.3 mm.
What’s in the name? Instead of calling it the Guide 11 (as it is the 11th iteration), Saucony named the latest version of its popular, supportive shoe the Guide ISO to call out the new ISO (isolate) midfoot wrap, which provides a snugger fit over the arch/midfoot area.
Saucony made the midsole foam slightly more responsive for a faster feel. Our lab tests confirmed this and noted the shoe’s flexibility and stability are unchanged from the previous version.

We put each shoe through real-world usage and a battery of mechanical tests in our lab to provide you with objective — and exclusive — data. In addition to a shoe's weight, we measure sole thickness (everything that sits between your foot and the road), how well the foam cushions your stride, and the flexibility of the forefoot. All this is taken into account in our reviews of each shoe.
