To help you nod off when all else fails, 2breathe uses a small sensor on a strap around your abdomen to measure your breathing pattern. The connected app acts like an adaptive metronome for your breaths, slowing slightly with each cycle. 2breathe detects when you’ve fallen asleep and automatically turns itself off. $180, amazon.com

A tennis ball-sized tabletop device, the Sense uses a small chip clipped to your pillow to track how you toss and turn. And as you’re preparing for sleep, you can speak to it like you would Amazon’s Echo and tell it to set an alarm, play white noise, or check the room’s temperature. Via a mobile app, you can review your sleep quality and bedroom’s environmental factors that make up your “sleep score”—turning slumber into a game. $149, amazon.com
