It’s the eternal question that runs through my mind when the weather heats up: Should I wear a tank that I’m just going to sweat through, or run in just a sports bra?
The sports bra alone has the clear physical comfort win, but the lack of coverage sans shirt always gives me a pause of mental hesitation before heading out the door, especially if I’m headed for a run around town during midday.
The solution, in my mind, would be running in just a sports bra that doesn’t feel, well, like running in just a sports bra. And that’s where the Rabbit Croptastic comes in.
Longer Length Means More Coverage
The Croptastic is called a crop, but it’s more of a longer sports bra than a shorter top—the length reaches nearly to the bottom of my rib cage, an inch or so above my belly button. For someone 5’0, it provides more length than a regular bra, but taller women may still find it rides up a little higher, like a normal bra.
The soft fabric that covers the regular bra portion of the top felt comfortable against my skin, but it bunched up a bit—and felt a little sweaty—when I layered a shirt and jacket over it for a wintery run. So I would keep this piece as your sole layer, whether you save it for hot outdoor runs, or even for an any-season indoor workout.
A Strappy Bra That’s Easy-On
Strappy bras can be a hassle to get on and off, especially postworkout when they’re drenched. This one? Not so much. Its thick, comfortable straps had a lot of give, making it easy to get on and stay put.
Only downside is, the straps were not adjustable—fine for me, but a potential fit issue for women looking for a little more support. But for someone who doesn’t need lots of support, and is looking for a sports bra to feel more comfortable in, the Rabbit Croptastic is a great bet.
