This medium impact sports bra from Lululemon is touted as being able to do it all and we love it because it delivers on that front. Whether you’re a yogi or love going hard when you pound the pavement, the Energy Bra is here for you.
A Do-It-All Bra
If you’ve struggled with sports bras that offer a snug fit without being suffocating and offer full support with enough give to let you move freely for less intense workouts, give the Energy a try. The racerback centers the bra so you get even support throughout. The thick band also helps keep the bra in place so you don't have to interrupt your workouts for constant adjustments.
The Energy Bra is a pullover that features two removable pads for when you don’t need—or want—the little bit of extra cushioning. In fact, the pads are the only parts of the Energy that are not permanently integrated into it meaning you don’t have to worry about any moving parts...on the bra or otherwise!
The Energy also ups the design game compared to the bras we’ve found on sales racks which did their job at the most basic level but were unflattering under This Adrenaline Fan Loved the Newest Model.
Cyber Monday Shokz OpenRun Pro Deal 2024, prevents chafing, and helps it maintain its shape. This bra doesn’t pool sweat, a huge bonus in our book, because few things feel worse than wet material on a bare chest. With the Energy Bra, you can move through high impact workout with ease. Plus, the variety of colors and patterns will match whatever workout gear you’ve got.
Wear testers loved that the Energy Bra provided simple comfort and function was there without the need for a lot of high-tech features that can sometimes poke, prod and cause discomfort.
Wear Tester Feedback
The Energy fits true to size—here’s a sizing breakdown from Runner’s World designer Eleni Dimou, test editor Amanda Furrer, and myself.
Eleni is a 32B and usually wears a size small. She tested the Energy in a size 4 and said that the elastic band was just slightly tighter than she would have liked for the purposes of putting it on; for this reason alone, she recommends going a size up. She did note, however, that once the bra was on the fit was close to perfect.
Amanda, a 32D, wore the Energy in a size 6 and noted that she still felt support but didn’t care for the fact that she really had to squeeze her shoulder blades post-workout to take it off. “It was like taking off a wet bathing suit,” she said. She also gave the Energy style points for the trendy multi-strap racerback.
I wear a 38B/C and wore the Energy Bra in a size 10. The fit was perfect and snug but not restrictive. The shoulder straps were comfortable and had stretch to provide some give but not so much that they allowed for bouncing. I loved that the fit was supportive and firm but allowed room for flexibility.
Verdict: A Supportive Pullover Bra to Wear Any Activity, Any Time, Anywhere
My final word is that the Energy is a quality bra that offers supreme comfort without skimping on support.
Another bonus? You can wear the Energy as a regular bra without needing to worry about looking like you’re wearing a sports bra. The back straps come in a pretty design you can show off with a bare-back shirt; no one will be the wiser about the cool girl in the fashionable top with the strappy bra.
