Update 7/17/24: Since we published, the deals have mostly held steady—discounts are the same, and stock is looking resilient for most models. Two exceptions: Garmin’s Forerunner 255S is now out of stock online, and the Fēnix 7S is in extremely short supply. We’ve removed the former from our roundup, but kept the latter listed so you can potentially snag one of the remaining watches in stock. And the current reader-favorite Other Hearst Subscriptions (without the S) is still in stock, though there aren’t a ton left.
If you’re unacquainted with Amazon’s Prime Day, let us be the first to introduce you: It’s a two-day site-wide sale for Prime members, and it’s bigger than any other the mega-retailer hosts throughout the year. One of the highlights of this event that runners especially can appreciate is a broad array of discounts on watches from Garmin, one of our test team’s highest-rated fitness tech brands.
This sale started up yesterday (it runs through today, July 17), and we’ve spotted some deals that are worth checking out right on the tail end. These discounts range from some of Garmin’s most affordable health trackers, such as the Vivosmart 4, to the brand’s top-tier watches like the Health & Injuries. And we’ve had all the model families here on our wrists, for testing or in our casual running. We’re confident in the capability of the watches—and the worthiness of the discounts—we’re recommending.
If a timepiece on sale is calling your name, now’s the time to act—we can’t guarantee these deals will last, nor are we certain the watches themselves will stay in stock. We’ll also update this page with new deals as they sprout up. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for even more sales and deals on running gear, check out or collection of Prime Day stories and other sales coverage here.
