If you're a stomach sleeper, chances are you've attempted to change your sleeping position more than once. Stomach sleeping can cause neck and back discomfort over time, leaving you feeling achy in the morning, especially if your pillow isn't the right fit.
Investing in a good quality mattress and proper pillow can help you get a better night's sleep and ensure that you aren't causing yourself any undue aches and pains along the way. Stomach sleepers, you need something soft and relatively flat to keep your spine in alignment while you sleep (or as close to alignment as you can get while sleeping on your stomach). This will not only help you get comfortable when you first lie down, but will also prevent pain during the night from bending your neck at an unnatural angle over the course of many hours.

How to Choose a Pillow
Picking pillows for stomach sleepers is relatively easy because there are only so many types that work for your sleep style. A soft, somewhat flat pillow is ideal for stomach sleepers, but the type of filling depends entirely on your preferences.
Fiberfill and Down
Fiberfill and down-filled pillows are the softest of the bunch. They're super plush and have a decent amount of give when you lay on them. You can often wash them whole, and they're more pliable than other materials for reshaping.
Latex
Unless you're allergic to latex, this is a great natural option that mimics the supportive feel of memory foam, but is more sustainable and hypoallergenic. It's also super breathable, which makes it a great choice for hot sleepers.
Memory Foam
This is the firmest option and makes for a very supportive pillow. It can be a bit warm, so make sure that any memory-foam pillow you pick has cooling elements like gels. You can also get memory foam in a solid form, which is firm, or shredded, which is soft and supportive.
