Jimmie Johnson is fast in his car and on his feet.
On Sunday, Johnson won his second Daytona 500, NASCAR's showcase event, topping a field of 43 drivers.
The victory came one week after Johnson ran the Daytona Beach Half Marathon, where he finished in 1:29:49. He was second among four NASCAR drivers who ran the Feb. 17 half-marathon, which was held hours before qualifying for the 500.
Kasey Kahne was first among the four in 1:28:44, while Aric Almirola finished in 1:46:35 and Michael Waltrip in 2:07:00. The course started and finished on the famed Daytona track, where in 2006 Johnson won his first Daytona 500.
Johnson, 37, drove the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS to victory Sunday. For the half-marathon, he wore bib No. 48.
