With 2016 just a week old, many of you may still be trying to hit the ground running with your resolutions. To make sure you’re always motivated, it may be time to upgrade that old playlist for when you take on the roads or hit the gym.

Chris Lawhorn, creator of the website Run Hundred, can help.

In his early years as a track and cross-country runner, Lawhorn loved finding that one song with a beat that matched his every step. Now drawing on his two decades of producing music and working as a DJ, Lawhorn created Run Hundred as a way to let fitness enthusiasts find their next favorite workout tune.

The site has a bank of 3,000 songs, and it allows subscribers to vote on each new song added to the site. Every time music is added, subscribers can vote “yes” or “no” on whether they think it’s a song they’d want to break a sweat to. The input of 128,000 people polled helped Lawhorn compile the list of 2015’s 10 best workout songs.

Though rock music was in low supply last year, the list still boasts a number of Top-40 artists and some new acts, providing high-paced songs that can pump you up as you kick off a New Year.

“Loads of people are making resolutions, and I’m hoping it gives them a jumping off point,” Lawhorn said. “It’s a variety of tracks that are proven winners that are going to work in their workouts.”
