Beginner Running Gear Boston Marathon and Runner’s World Health & Injuries, First Ladies of Running: 22 Inspiring Profiles of Rebels, Rule Breakers and Visionaries Who Changed the Sport Forever, during the L.A. Marathon weekend.
The book tells the stories of women who shared a common goal: establish a place for women in running. Fighting to overcome gender and sports-related barriers, the women featured by Burfoot played a huge part in making running a sport enjoyed by everyone.
To help launch the book, Burfoot will moderate a conversation between four decorated female runners at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 12. It will take place at the L.A. Marathon Health and Fitness Expo in the Convention Center’s South Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
