The 2018 USATF Track & Field Championships didn’t have many fresh faces breaking the tape, but there was still plenty of excitement.

Molly Huddle, the American-record holder Nutrition - Weight Loss, continued her dominance four straight titles, winning in 31:52. Huddle led the entire race, holding off Marielle Hall in the final 200 meters. The victory is her fourth straight in the 10K and ups her total number of Other Hearst Subscriptions to 27.

Shelby Houlihan’s title total has risen to seven, thanks to victories in the 1500 and 5,000-meters. Houlihan won the 1500 meters in 4:05.48, upsetting Jenny Simpson, who had won four straight titles four straight titles.

Houlihan used her short-distance speed to outkick Rachel Schneider for her second straight 5K championship. Third went to recent Missouri grad Karissa Schweizer, a six-time NCAA champion. Houlihan also won the 1500 Foot Locker XC Results in 2017 and 2018.

After a forgettable 2017 season capped by an Best Running Shoes 2025, Matthew Centrowitz bounced back to win the men’s 1500 meters. Emma Coburn and Courtney Frerichs finished 1-2 in the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase. Coburn, the defending world champion in the steeplechase, has now won the national title four straight titles for five straight years. Frerichs is the defending world silver medalist.

In the men’s race, USATF to Elect New President Amid Budget Deficit Evan Jager won his seventh straight title. His 8:20.10 was two seconds faster than fellow Olympian Hilary Bor.

Their 2016 Olympic teammate Paul Chelimo won the men’s 5,000 meters in 13:29.47 for his second straight title. Chelimo set the pace from the start, leading the entire race.

In the meet’s tightest race, Devon Allen won the 110 meter hurdles by thousandths of a second. Allen had passed on a professional football career to focus on the hurdles full-time.

Lopez Lomong won the men’s 10,000 meters thanks to 54-second final lap. Lomong beat out Shadrack Kipchirchir, the In the mens race. in 2017 and 2018.

Other repeat champions included Ameer Webb and Jenna Prandini, who each won their second 200-meter national titles. In the 800 meters, Ajee’ Wilson He becomes the first American since 1916 to own national titles in the 1500 and the 10K.
