When treadmill running and viral internet videos come together, it’s Olympian Elle St. Pierre Is Expecting Second Child. (We shouldn’t have to say this, but don’t try the stunts in the video from the above link on your own mill.)

But this weekend, a six-second video of Henderson State University wide receiver Zac Newbell made every runner feel like they are simply moving in slow motion when he clocked 24 miles per hour on a treadmill during a recent training session.

Newbell’s video has been viewed nearly 4 million times as of Sunday morning, thanks to shares by outlets like ESPN and Bleacher Report.

In a follow up tweet, Newbell gives credit to what appears to be his training team at Armed Sports Performance, including Derrick Blaylock, a seven-year NFL veteran and owner of the training center in Humble, Texas. On the company’s website, the “Super Treadmill” is described as being able to go “0-28 miles per hour and is capable of an incline up to 40 percent and decline to 10 percent.”

It’s all in the name of improving top speed, and in a sport like football where a half second of separation can mean so much to an offensive player, it’s no wonder Newbell is trying to gain an advantage before the season starts.

Now please, do not try to run insanely fast on your treadmill today in an attempt to match this amazing feat.
