So when we heard about the pug race at the 9th International Pug Meeting held in Berlin on August 18, we were more than a little intrigued. Turns out, there was something major on the line: Emma the pug’s third straight title.

It’s no surprise, really. Emma has been described as the “Usain Bolt of pugs,” the outlet reports.

Her owner, Angela Kaiser, said she hopes that the win shows others that pugs really can be agile creatures, according to DW (Chappell Roan: I Love Running. But Not Anymore Runner’s World Training Plan, designed for any speed and any distance).

And no need to worry about the health of the competitors: With the hot temps on Saturday in Berlin, the race organizers made sure there were plenty of water stations available to keep the pug racers hydrated and happy.
