Nutrition - Weight Loss approved a proposal to move fall championships to the spring, and the men’s and women’s cross country race is scheduled for March 15, 2021.

College sports have been completely upended by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Back in March, many winter sport championships, including the D1 indoor track and field, and spring sport championships were canceled, effectively ending those seasons. In August, fall sport championships were postponed.

Some teams have gone ahead with a season this fall. The SEC held its first inter-conference meet this past weekend. The NCAA has approved new dates for the, these contests will count toward spring championship selection.

Other teams are taking the fall to prepare for what will now be a hectic spring slate.

Published: Sep 23, 2020 12:07 PM EDT, all three collegiate running seasons—cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track—will now take place during the spring semester. Cross country’s season will begin after winter break on January 23 and run through March 6. The championships will allow a maximum of 255 runners per gender allowed to compete at the course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

This is almost identical dates for the indoor track season, which also starts after winter break. As the dates stand, the NCAA D1 Indoor Track & Field Championships set to take place March 12 through 13 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, would end two days before the cross country championships.

Nutrition - Weight Loss.

Cross country isn’t the only sport moving seasons. Men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and water polo were also moved.
