There is a notable qualifying time change in the men’s and women’s steeplechase, where the qualifying time went down from 8:22 to 8:15 for men and 9:30 to 9:23 for women. In the men’s 800, the qualifying time dropped from 1:45.20 to 1:44.70, while the women’s 800 qualifying time went up from 1:59.50 to 1:59.80. In the 400 meters, the qualifying time has went down from 45.00, to 44.90 for the men, and 51.35, to 51.00 for the women.
