If you’ve run the New York City Marathon, you know the people of New York bring an energy to the race like no other marathon. At the heart of this spectator support are dozens of local run clubs that set up cheer zones along the course, giving every runner a much-needed boost to get over the bridges and into Central Park.

Brooklyn runner and photographer Drew Reynolds highlighted a few of the clubs that brought the energy during the 2024 race. Screaming through megaphones, popping confetti cannons, and blasting music, these clubs want runners to have the times of their lives over 26.2 miles and five boroughs.
