Baking bread at home sounds good in theory—that delicious smell!but in practice, it can be enough of a pain to make you not even consider doing it. Kneading? Letting it rise? Meh. I'd rather be running.

This recipe, however, is so, so, so easy. There is no yeast. There is no kneading, or even mixing with a mixer. There is no letting it rise. There is only, "Mix these five ingredients together and bake." Seriously!

I got this recipe from my friend Erin, a homesteading-type who hates to waste anything. People have a habit of bringing their unwanted beer to her house for parties and abandoning it in her fridge, so she's taken to baking this regularly to clear things out. I used a pilsner, but it's worked for her with all kinds of beers, including more flavorful ones.

Depending on what you use, your bread may taste like there's beer in it. If you're opposed to that, I'd imagine any of the lite beers wouldn't lend it much of a taste, since they don't have much taste to lend in the first place.
