On Monday, April 17 2017, some of the best distance runners in the world will race 26.2 miles from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, to downtown Boston in the 2017 Boston Marathon. If you won’t be there in person, there are plenty of options to see the race on TV or online. How to Watch the Boston Marathon on TV
The coverage will begin at 8 p.m. the night before the race with a preview on the NBC Universal HD. National coverage of the race on Marathon Monday will also be on NBC Sports Network beginning at 8:30 a.m. You can watch the mobility impaired and wheelchair races starting at 8:50 a.m., followed by the elite women's start at 9:32 a.m and the elite men as well as the first wave of runners, beginning at 10 a.m. The race will be replayed at 8 p.m.
Viewers in the Boston area will be able to watch local coverage beginning at 9 a.m. on the local CBS affiliate, WBZ-TV, and their coverage will also be replayed at 8 p.m. that evening.
