A Part of Hearst Digital Media Chicago Marathon has grown from a field of 4,000 to 45,000. Runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will be on the starting line this October. With so many people running and supporting, finding a place to stay becomes increasingly difficult as the weekend approaches. With tricky parking and race-morning traffic, it’s better to book early and find a place within walking distance of the start. Here are the best places to spend the night before the big day.

Hotel

There are some great places that are no farther than a mile from the start, although some can be pricey. From Best Western in Grant Park (a cheaper option) to the luxurious Kimpton Gray with a rooftop lounge and a full-service spa, there is a place for everyone, including pets. Here are a few hotels that still had rooms available at the time we published this article:

Airbnb

If hotels aren’t for you, there are great options on Airbnb. The website even has CA Notice at Collection. Prices here can be more reasonable than hotels while offering a variety of styles and locations like apartments, homes, condos, villas, and bed and breakfasts.

Hostel
