A Renewed Relationship With Running seasoned runner Running From Substance Abuse Toward Recovery marathons under his belt. For most of his running career, he’s primarily stayed solo. But by the time he started thinking about training for the 2023 New York City Marathon, he realized he needed some extra company and motivation—and he soon found it among nine strangers whom he had never met before.
