Stephanie Tsai has run more than 20 marathons, but somewhere along the way, after crossing yet another finish line, Tsai started to feel her passion for running start to fade just a bit. The Chicago-based doctor wasn’t about to stop chasing her goals; it was just that, by the time she was to begin training for the 2023 New York City Marathon, she needed a little extra motivation.
Then, she met nine strangers who helped her rediscover her love for running in completely new ways.

Over the course of 16 weeks last year, Tsai and her RW+ teammates pushed each other to run their best race yet.
“It’s amazing to come together with people from different parts of the country,” Tsai tells Quintin George in the new episode of Runner’s World’s video podcast series, which you can watch above. “It’s a real life-changing experience, because I think it’s something that’s really moved us. And it’s obviously stayed with us.”
