1. A safe year for my sister and those serving beside her in the U.S. Army. I'm so proud of her.
2. A landscaper to come and work on my backyard. I'm growing a little jungle back there, seriously.
3. Barefoot Ted, if youre listeningÂ--your fab new A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf with Vanessa Bell artwork. (Not sure we'll ever be able to find or afford that but that's why it's a holiday "wish", right?)

Hal Higdon, Born to Run
1. Toenail PolishÂ--If I'm going to run barefoot in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, I want to look stylish. Seven separate colors, one for each day of the week.
2. Bermuda TriangleÂ--The Bermuda Marathon in January is one of my favorite races. Even if I don't plan to run that far, there's a street mile, a 10-K and a half marathon.
3. ShadesÂ--I've been running with sunglasses for years, long before it became fashionable, so know that runners must protect their eyes from glare or pay the price later in life. A flashy, wrap-around pair would make me aerodynamic enough to nibble seconds from my running and bike times.

1. I really want a bigger pot so that it is easier to make a big batch of my pasta bolognese when we have company.
2. And I'd love new eyeglasses. Colt [my son] thinks it is funny to take them off my face in the morning and throw them on the floor. Needless to say they are sporting some pretty bad scratches!

1. An all-expense paid entry into the 2012 Solar Eclipse Marathon in Queensland, Australia. This could be the last total eclipse of my lifetime (depending on how long I live) and what more unique way to experience it than while running a marathon.

1. An injury-free spring so I can finally run and finish Dipsea after having to scratch from the 100th and 101st Dipsea races the last two years.
2. A healthy and injury-free fall so I can run the Manchester Road Race for the 50th year in a row on Thanksgiving Day.
3. An Olympic Marathon medal for one of our male or female runners next summer in London. (Just noticed that I seem to have placed myself, first two choices above, ahead of our Olympians. Sorry about that.)
4. Anything that has sleeves, begins with smart, and ends with wool.
5. A smartphone that's dumbed-down enough for me to figure it out. (With a free monthly connection plan.)

1. Several cases of Diet SunkistÂ--I try to eat healthy most of the time, but I am simply addicted to Diet Sunkist. My addiction can get expensive, so a couple cans under the Christmas tree is always appreciated.
2. Yoga classesÂ--I love incorporating yoga into my weekly routine. I had a teacher I absolutely adored in college, but am still shopping around in Michigan.
3. A plane ticket homeÂ--I'm very close with my family and can't go too long without seeing my parents (and my cats). There is no better present than being home with loved ones.

Dave McGillivary, A Room of Ones Own
1. Voice recorderÂ--I recently lost mine and I have done all my training runs with a voice recorder in my hand for the past 20 years. I record all my creative thoughts while running. Without the recorder, I would typically forget all the good ideas I've come up with on my training runs.
2. Ergonomic office chairÂ--I think I've sustained more injuries while sitting at my computer than from running over 140,000 miles in my lifetime! My neck, shoulders, hamstrings are all taking a beating. This is a must on my list!
3. Non-sleeping pillÂ--I've always felt that sleep is over rated. As humans, I know we all require sleep, myself included. However, who invented that and why? We are only here for a short period of time. Sleep is such a waste of valuable time. I'd like someone to develop a pill that mimics sleep by slowing your metabolism but allows you to stay awake and function throughout the night. That would be a big sellerÂ--well, I'd buy it but not sure anyone else would.
