How to choose a body groomer
Waterproofing: Emergency post-gym, pre-date shower shaves required? Check that your chosen device is fully waterproof for wet or dry trimming. Shaving on wet skin is often favourable, not only because the shower helps wash away any debris, but also because it gives you a closer shave.
Versatility: Most body groomers on our round-up are multipurpose but some come with more attachments than others (for tackling nose and ear hair, for example). Check how many heads or combs are included in the box before you buy, so you know exactly what your gadget can do.

How we test

It did a solid job of catching thicker hairs, with 78% of our testers agreeing that it delivered a satisfyingly close shave. It didn't tug or nick their skin and 89% were left impressed by the detail and definition of their finish.

You needn't be the proud owner of an extravagant beard to appreciate this multipurpose trimmer – 86% of testers were also happy with its body hair performance.
Our panel appreciated its lightweight, elegant design, which made it easy to hold and therefore ideal for precision shaving. It wasn’t the quietest, but it effectively trimmed longer beard hair and left 93% of those with stubble pleased with their final look too.
