The fastest female marathon runner of all time and three-time London Marathon winner shared a ‘#tbt’ post, showing a young Paula posing with friends in a Bedford and Country athletic club vest.
The caption of the photo is a message we can get on board with, Paula writing “keep the fun element. Laughter goes a long way”. A January reminder we all need that running is far more than just PB’s and pushing yourself.
Other runners seem to agree with the sentiment, writing comments such as “Did the girl in this photo know she’d go on to become the greatest female marathoner and hold the world record for so long? I wonder how big her dreams were at this point.”
