New York based sneaker boutique RISE has teamed up with PUMA to release a special edition RISE x tenis puma viz runner masculino branco preto “New York is For Lovers” collaboration.
RISE co-founder Chase Ceparano lost his father when he as a child due to AIDS, so this collaboration is much deeper than any other typical collab we commonly see.
Together, RISE and PUMA are making a $15,000 donation to amfAR that is not tied to sales, proceeds, or percentages. For them it’s not a way to flash PR on their shoes or their brand. Instead they’re using the social force of footwear collaborations as a tool to lift others up away from the fate that millions have already found, and change the path of those already there.
The shoe is built with a mixture of premium leather and suede done in Bright Red. Other details include special embossed branding, with the lace dubraes having the AIDS ribbon and “NYIFL” logos. Finishing off the design are the reflective hearts cuts on each heel panel.
Puma Rs-dreamer Safety Yellow RISE x tenis puma viz runner masculino branco preto to release on Tuesday, December 1st – world AIDS Day at their special pop-up location at 345 Broome Street in NYC. Pairs will be available starting at 8PM EST on a first come, first served basis.
Reminding pairs will be available via their online store Rise45.com as of 12:01 AM EST on Wednesday, December 2nd. The retail price tag is set at $135 USD.
