A little over a week ago, Puma & Naturel celebrated the release of their spring collaboration down in the Lower East Side of New York. “INSPIRED BY SPACE TRAVEL AND A VISION OF AN URBAN LANDSCAPE ON THE MOON”… Fine Artist Naturel put together a heavy series with Puma for the summer.
The inspiration behind this assortment was intriguing. At this private gathering, his visions were largely projected as rotating images on the venue’s walls throughout the night for all to see. For the first half of the evening, Naturel was joined by a few of the industry’s OGs, Joe La Puma, DJ Clark Kent, Jeff Staple and Rick Williams, to discuss his spring pieces of artwork. The topics of conversation consisted of the spring release, the culture, the impact of technology and how collaborations impact the sneaker world now…
With soft pink uplighting to compliment Naturel’s spring Puma gems, the collection was displayed in a sexy line-up right as you walked in the venue. Sound was brought in by New York’s turn-key entertainment & production company, DJUSA and as always, DJ Clark Kent topped it off as he played a favorable playlist for the duration of the night.
A few of the Naturel pieces include: a Veg tan leather & gum bottom Clyde & Platform, Cheetah Platforms, Black Rain Clydes, and Moon Desert & Moon Jungle Clydes. I had the honor of being gifted the ‘Moon Desert’ Clydes and a matching printed poster paying homage to the collection.
