Under Armour will honor the military this Memorial Day, specifically the 1st Infantry Division, with two different specially designed cleats worn by UA athletes throughout the league.
Bryce Harper will step out for the first time in his third signature cleat, the Harper 3, while other athletes will wear the UA Yard.
Both Memorial Day special makeup cleats being worn on Monday are tributes to the 1st Infantry Division, the oldest continuously serving division in the US Army having just turned 101 years old last week. The cleats bear the division’s moniker, “Big Red One” written on the heel or tongue, for Harper 3 and UA Yard respectively.
Making its debut, the Harper 3 is engineered specifically for Harper, through its elevated style and innovative composition. It comes designed with a modern knit fabric combined with high-end leather for a clean, fresh look with a metal upfront built for speed and hybrid traction. Other features includes UA’s Charged Cushioning for unbeatable energy return on the field.
Look for the UA Harper 3 to release in both Mid and Low options later this Fall 2018 at select UA retailers and UA.com.
