Ahead of its official debut, the Swoosh is already set to release a Nike Zoom Mamba V football boots colorway. The “What The” theme goes back to 2007, when Nike Skateboarding introduced a mash-up concept on the SB Dunk Low that created the staple design for Nike Basketball.

Next up, the Nike LeBron 16. The shoe features a Multicolor BattleKnit upper with one heel done in White and the other in Black. James’ signature “LJ” crown logo appears on the left shoe with “Sixteen” underneath, while the right sports the models signature debossed lion head with Golden eyes and Swoosh logo. Other details includes an exotic print on the right tongue and the other in a Deep Red tone. Mismatched insoles, multicolored rubber and icy outsoles completes the design.

Air Max 270 BG Nike LeBron 16 “What The” to release on September 15th at select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag is set at $200 USD.

UPDATE: Officially dubbed, “1 Thru 5” which combines the first five colorways of the Nike LeBron 16 into one for a “What The” type of theme. A release date is set for Saturday, September 15th at select House of Hoops locations and Nike SNKRS. Jimmy Jazz will also be releasing them only at their 163 – 21/23 Jamaica Ave, NY location.

UPDATE: Nike is dropping the “Starting 5” LeBron 16, which is the first of five upcoming releases of his latest sneaker and represents all five positions on the court.

UPDATE: The latest “What The” series is dubbed, “1 Thru 5” which nods to the ability of James being able to betray all five positions. This colorway is a mash-up for the first wave of Nike LeBron 16 colorways. A release date for the “Starting 5” colorway is currently rumored for either September 15th or the 22nd.
