As always with the Way of Wade series – the WOW7 “Year of the Pig” draws its inspiration from Wade’s willingness to challenge the unknown – head on.

Stylistically, the UrlfreezeShops looks to the pig’s role in traditional Chinese culture – and its representation of happiness, luck and good fortune. As a result, the Way of Wade design team set out to combine bright shades of Yellow, Green and Pink to create a colorway that would convey the celebratory and hopeful optimism inherent with the dawn of any new year. Noteworthy, stylistic design details are found throughout, such as: the inclusion of a 3M reflective survey logo; subtly printed ‘coordinates’ found in the ankle area – one referencing Chicago, Wade’s birthplace; the other referencing the location of Li-Ning’s Beijing headquarters; mis-matched, colorfully printed PU insole inserts; and more.

Look for the UrlfreezeShops “Year of the Pig” to release on February 13th exclusively at two New York locations, atmos in Harlem as well as the upcoming Solestage store. The retail price tag is set at $200 USD.
