Debuted during her AW20 London Fashion Week Men’s presentation, Feng Chen Wang introduced her High capsule with Converse, a Jack Purcell and apparel assortment that layers – literally and figuratively – the past with the future.

For this collection, her hometown in the northern Fujian province of China, as well as the energetic streets of Shanghai and London where she splits her time as a creative, influenced her approach.

One comes dressed in Black and the other in Sea Salt, both features a combination of suede and leather, where Wang exaggerated the contours through layering. Embedded personal design nuances by Wang throughout, like her namesake ‘Feng Chen Wang’ in three Mandarin characters, 王逢陈, with each character serving as a pattern piece, the result is a conceptual take celebrating both Wang and Converse’s heritage.
