In 2015, adidas released its first NMD R1 which combined old-school elements of the Micro Pacer, Boston Super, and Rising Star with its popular Boost technology.

For 2021, adidas Originals will be releasing its “OG” colorway of the NMD that features a Black Primeknit upper with the fan favorite Royal Blue and Red plugs. A White Boost midsole atop a Black rubber outsole completes the design.
