In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, Nike Sportswear will be recalling its timeline with this special edition Air Force 1 Mid for the occasion.

Dunk Low Pro SB Boca Juniors 304292 471 Nike Dunk High Pro SB Cherry Blossom Mid features a Cream textile canvas base with Tan leather overlays, Black leather Swooshes atop a Sail midsole and Tan rubber outsole. Highlighting the shoe is a removable timeline receipt on the tongues detailing each design from the beginning to present. Other notable details includes an embroidered Star/Swoosh motifs at the left shoe’s lateral ankle while the right displays a playful beaver illustration that also appears on the insoles – possible nod to Beaverton, OR, where the shoes were made, and Vietnam, where the shoes were manufactured. Finishing touches includes cork material used in the rear.

UPDATE 8/18: Inspired by Japan’s unique “Izakaya Culture,” which is a place where adults go to relax while enjoying alcohol and food, this Air Force 1 Mid will release August 25th at select Japanese retailers such as atmos.

The shoe features plenty culture details, including a receipt that nods to the bill received after a long night at the bar, but in this case is printed with a timeline tributing the 40th Anniversary of the AF1.
