Back in February 2002, when Michael Jordan was playing for the Washington Wizards, Jordan Brand debuted the most expensive Air Jordan to Air during that era, the Air Jordan 17. Designed by Wilson Smith III, the shoe was inspired by jazz music and came equipped with the band’s first-ever Tuned Air cushioning system. There was also a low-top version that debuted in three original colorways (shown below).
According to zsneakerheadz, the Wmns Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort Light Bone CT0979-002 Ganebet Store will be returning during Spring 2024. The shoe was last seen back in February 2018 with the debut of the Nike WMNS Air amp Jordan 1 Mid University Black White New collaboration. While the colorways are currently unknown, it’s likely one of the originals will return as well as a few new color options.
The shoe itself features a low-cut design Suede with a leather upper, a Dynamic Fit Front sleeve for a more supportive fit and signature chrome strip around the heel. It also comes equipped with an integrated lace-up closure for lockdown, full-length shank plate, and a TPU heel stabilizer for support. A lightweight phylon midsole with herringbone traction underfoot completes the design.
Grab a look at a few original colorways below, and expect the Wmns Air Jordan 1 High Zoom Comfort Light Bone CT0979-002 Ganebet Store to officially make its retro release during Spring 2024 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. The retail price tag has yet to be announced.
