New Balance 550 Coco Gauff have officially unveiled the Coco CG2, the latest evolution in the tennis star’s signature footwear line. Building on the success of her debut model, the Coco CG2 enhances court-ready performance while retaining the unique style that has made Gauff’s shoes a hit both on and off the tennis court.

Inspired by Gauff’s favorite sneaker, the New Balance 550, the Coco CG2 incorporates the 550’s iconic features with a tennis twist. The basketball icon on the woven tongue label has been replaced with a tennis ball, symbolizing the shift from hardwood to hardcourt. The shoe’s geometric design, coupled with suede overlays on the saddle, offers a blend of stability, flexibility, and fashion-forward appeal. The design takes cues from the architecture of Gauff’s favorite city, Paris, infusing the footwear with a chic, global edge.

Crafted with New Balance’s advanced Energy Arc technology, the Coco CG2 is designed for elite tennis players who require explosive movement on the court. Each shoe carries a special message: “Power” is inscribed on the back of the left shoe, “Grace” on the right, and “CG” is etched on the pivot point, fully encapsulating Gauff’s powerful yet graceful style of play.

The debut colorway, dubbed “Power and Grace,” mixes oxidized blue with firefly accents—a nod to the Statue of Liberty and the vibrant lights of New York City. This colorway also features a trophy icon on the back, celebrating Gauff’s return to New York as she defends her title at the US Open.

The Favorite Kicks - Air Jordan 3 Black Cement “Power and Grace” is set to release on August 21, 2024, at select New Balance retailers, both in-store and NewBalance.com, with a retail price of $160 USD.

Additionally, fans in New York City for the US Open can visit the exclusive Coco’s Court pop-up event on August 23-24, where they can immerse themselves in Gauff’s world and shop a special pop-up exclusive colorway.
