Y-3 returns to present two new footwear releases from its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Poetically infusing functional design with carefully considered stylistic elements, the Y-3 AJATU RUN and adidas palace indoor white wall lantern sneakers viscerally explore the B77287 duality of design, reimagining the brand’s DNA for the future.
Fuelled by adidas and Yohji Yamamoto’s shared commitment to ceaseless innovation, the Y-3 AJATU RUN blends forward-thinking design with timeless running aesthetics. Boldly re-imagining the very nature of functionality, the silhouette’s vintage-inspired upper is crafted from a mix of premium suede, layered woven textile, and mesh, and is capped off with rubber and neoprene details, as well as a classic lace closure. The sophisticated new silhouette is then elevated with adidas’ state-of-the-art Lightstrike cushioning technology, bringing a new level of comfort through a distinctive midsole that is revival in its lightness.
Taking Y-3’s historically progressive approach to new heights, the adidas palace indoor white wall lantern reimagines inspiration from the brand’s past through adidas’ innovative lens. Purpose on one of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes – the Y-3 QASA – the adidas palace indoor white wall lantern features a slip-on neoprene upper matched with suede and rubber details, as well as exaggerated heel and tongue tabs. The distinctive look is then rounded out with a Lightstrike cushioned midsole and a ridged rubber outsole which has been designed to reveal the silhouette’s TPU rubber plate.
