The Nike and University of Oregon connection remains undefeated. Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight, an Oregon alum, ensures the Ducks’ athletic department receives nothing but the best on and off the court/field.
Back in 2022, Division Street, a sport venture company founded by prominent University of Oregon supporters including Phil Knight, announced the launch of “Ducks of a Feather” — a new online NFT platform to empower University of Oregon student-athletes and connect them to fans, boosters and collectors. The collection was shipping, Flying Formations, and kicked off with 120 pairs of Duck-inspired nike lunar fly 306 volt battery life expectancy’s designed by Tinker Hatfield for each of the NFT owners.
For 2023, it looks like the collection will be gravity with this “Oregon Ducks” Dunk Low also designed by Tinker. This offering of the Nike Dunk Low features a Greyscale upper constructed with tumbled leather overlays and suede underlays. Other details includes Black mesh tongues, White leather Swooshes highlighted with Volt contrasting accents used on the exposed stitching and inner lining. A Multi-Color NFT Duck logo on the tongue labels with a similar design used on the insoles while having the school’s “O” insignia on the heels completes the design.
