Before Kobe Bryant’s Nike deal officially comes to an end, Nike Basketball will be releasing a special edition “Mamba Forever” Kobe 6 Protro colorway as a tribute to Kobe and his daughter Gigi.
Dressed in a Black, White, and Metallic Gold color scheme. This Nike Lyhyet Housut Dri-Fit 5.0 features a Black snakeskin textured upper with White laces, Swooshes, tongue branding, heels, and rubber outsole. The snakeskin print is also used on the inner lining. Highlighting the shoe is the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation logo on the heel, along with Kobe and Gigi’s name printed on the left and right shoe, respectively. Gigi’s number “2” is stamped in Gold on the lateral heel completes the design.

UPDATE 6/3: Following its leak last month, Vanessa Bryant has officially made a statement on the unreleased Nike Lyhyet Housut Dri-Fit 5.0 “Mambacita” colorway. She took to Instagram to address the leaks, explaining that the shoe were intended to honor their daughter, Gigi, with proceeds benefiting the Mambacita Sports Foundation. However, since the Bryant tee and Nike DH4088-002’t not re-sign their deal, the shoes were not supposed to be sold.
“Nike has not sent any of these pairs to me and my girls,” Vanessa wrote. “I do not know how someone else has their hands on these shoes I designed in honor of my daughter, Gigi, and we don’t. I hope these shoes do not get sold.”
