Nike will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Cortez in 2022. For the occasion, Chitose Abe’s Sacai will be releasing a few collaborative designs of the Cortez.
Originally released in 1972, the Nike Cortez was first designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. It was released at the peak of the 1972 Summer Olympics, which is why it gained rapid exponential interest by the general public.
One comes dressed in the OG color uggs, while the other sports a “Dark Grey” makeup. Co-branding with visible Zoom Air in the forefoot housed in special packaging completes the design.
