New Orleans retailer Sneaker Politics and Cafe du Monde have teamed up with Saucony to release a special edition Shadow 5000 inspired by NOLA’s famous beignets.
Cafe du Monde is the world’s most famous coffee shop and a New Orleans institution known for its café au lait and beignets.
This collaborative Saucony Shadow 5000 Blu 38 M comes constructed in a mix of suede, leather, and mesh vintage with White flecks covering its Brown-colored upper as a nod to the powdered sugar used on each dessert. Co-branded tongue tags atop a Green rubber outsole that represents the colors of Du Monde’s patio overhang completes the design.

This pair will be limited to only 157 pairs to pay tribute to the 157 years that Cafe Du Monde has been open. All pairs will be released only in their New Orleans location to the first 157 people in line.
