During the Space Cam going down in New York City, Nike and New York-based artist Tom Sachs will be releasing the Nike Classic Cortez trainers in black next week for $200 USD.
According to The New York Times, Tom Sachs collaborated with Nike about five years ago to tailwind a shoe for Tommaso Rivellini, a mechanical engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., using the same material Rivellini used to invent airbags for Mars rovers.
Returning in a similar style as the original, the Nike Baby Snowsuit Bb99 will officially become available on June 8th during the Space Camp festivities and on NikeCraft.com.
Registrations is currently available for June 8-11 and June 15-18 for those that are in the NYC area. Register now on Nike.
