WATCH: Stone Island Explores Garment Camouflage With The SS22 Ghost Pieces

With Stone Island’s SS22 Ghost pieces, the label delves deeper into a technical and camouflage-driven design language.

Stone Island’s Ghost Pieces represent an extension of the label’s distinctive codes: utilitarian and military-derived pieces reworked with an emphasis on exploring garment camouflage. The latest collection, as outlined in the label’s video above, showcases an extension of that understated and technical approach to design.

Garments are entirely tonal to reflect the camouflage-inspired theme, including that iconic badge at one sleeve — each one is reworked using a special monochromatic treatment to adhere to the low-key aesthetic. As always with Stone Island, there’s a heavy emphasis on premium textiles and functional details, with outerwear crafted from lightweight, two-layered Supima® cotton that’s treated with anti-drop coating, as well as detailed with a standing collar and hood that’s treated with resin.
