Continuing to delve into the world of durable outdoor footwear, New Balance TDS and Snow Peak share a modular all-purpose sneaker.
Following last year’s mountain-scaling collaboration, Snow Peak and New Balance’s concept-driven Tokyo Design Studio take inspiration from the summit once again, basing the Niobium Concept 1’s sage green upper on mossy rock formations.
Named after the periodic table’s 41st element, which is known for its versatility and resilience, the style’s modular, three-in-one design ensures a robust and durable outlook, suitable for any inclement weather.
Constructed with a waterproof eVent® liner, a ballistic coating, a weatherproof toe cap, and a hook for clipping on your gaiters, Snow Peak and New Balance ensure complete protection. A secondary sockliner can be worn alone as a tent slipper, or swapped into the shoe to create a slip-on camping clog. Overlaid with supple suede and black TPU panels for extra heel support, the style calls upon NB’s high-tech sportswear heritage, finishing off the silhouette with the MT801 trail runner’s ABZORB® sole unit.
